About the Chiropractor
My name is Adam Fischer
I graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, in 1994.
Since, for over 30 years, I have practiced as a chiropractor in Australia, The UK, Brazil, and now Portugal for over 6 years. ​

Some facts about back pain

Roughly 70-80% of people will experience low back pain and 40-50% will experience neck pain in their lives.

Over 70% of spinal pain comes from mechanical causes, usually spinal joints and ligaments. Muscle spasm is usually a secondary response.

When joint fixation is the cause, no correct diagnosis will be found on x-rays, or other body scans that don't show movement.

Spinal degeneration (Bico de papaguio) is the long-term result of joint fixation, not the cause of it.

Restoring and maintaining correct movement to spinal joints is the answer to most spinal pain, not medication, stretching or "strengthening core muscles.​"
